Since 2016, Tim Eijl (1989) works researcher at the Research Group Cross-Media Communications in the Public Domain (Publab). He graduated from the master Applied Communication Science on the Wageningen University. Within this master he expanded his knowledge on the use of communication within societal themes including his specialization in nutrition and health. He completed his master by writing a thesis about: the influence of opinion leaders on the diffusion of food and cancer information on Twitter.The interest in this was awakened in various projects and communication activities in the commercial and public sectors in which he worked earlier.
His passion isin the areas of health communication, communication for behavior change and digital communication. Within Publab, Tim is therefore involved in various research projects, such as research on the evaluation and user experience of the Eetmeter, a food app of the Dutch Nutrition Centre, the valorisation of the project TouchPoints within communication education, Safe School eEnvironment, Active After Stroke, MOVES en the Cycling with Focus project.
Besides, he has an unifying role with the ongoing research projects and is involved in the communication activitiess of the Publab and the other research groups of the knowledge centre in Innovation & Business Communication to make results, insights and knowledge of the various research projects as accessible as possible.
