Tim Eijl (1989) works since September 2016 as a junior researcher at the Research Group Cross-Media Communications in the Public Domain (Publab). In 2016 he graduated from the master Applied Communication Science on the Wageningen University. Within this master he deepened his knowledge on the use of communication within social themes including his specialization in nutrition and health. The interest in this was awakened in various projects and communication activities in the commercial and public sectors in which he worked before his master. He completed his master by writing a thesis about: the influence of opinion leaders on the diffusion of food and cancer information on Twitter.
His passion lies in the areas of digital communications, communication for behavior change and health communication. Within Publab, Tim is therefore active in various research projects, including research on the evaluation and user experience of the Eetmeter, a food app of the Dutch Nutrition Centre and the development of the project TouchPoints in education. He also has a unifying role with the ongoing research projects and is involved in the communications of the Publab to make results, insights and knowledge of the various research projects as accessible as possible.
