Stan van Ginkel is a lecturer and researcher at the Archimedes Institute and the research group Architecture of Digital Information Systems at University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. Previously he worked at Utrecht University and Wageningen University Researchcentre.
He conducts PhD research into the design of learning environments aimed at oral presentation in higher education. Ongoing research focuses on the impact of virtual learning environments on the development of academic and communication skills. The proceeds from these surveys are used to optimize virtual environments and then implement them in various domains of higher education. New research projects look at the added value of innovative technologies for learning processes in the education and healthcare sector.
