Jeanette is trained as a social worker. She has worked as a supervisor and coordinator in organizations for social care and youth protection. She has always been focused on people in their (family/social) context. Therefore she attended several meetings about the theory of prof. I. Boszormemyi Nagy. In 2017 she completed her master’s degree in Contextual therapy.

Jeanette has been working for 12 years in the field of higher education as a teacher, supervisor and researcher. In the period of 2009 until 2011 she participated in research at the Research group Working in Correction and Rehabilitation on the method of Wrap around care. This was in collaboration with professor J. Hermanns. Jeanette was in charge of the learning communities about this subject. Since several years, Jeanette is actively involved in the educational innovation at the Institute for social work in Utrecht. Her focus is the design and development of learning in a team and a better integration of education and practice. In September 2018 she attended the lectorate “Youth”, where she is focused on a better collaboration between this  and the students of the Institute of social work in Utrecht.
