Jean Paul ten Klooster is a workpackage leader at the University of Applied Science (2008) with the main focus on gut health and type 2 diabetes. He started as a technician at the NKI-AvL (1996-2001) and did his PhD at Sanquin/CLB (2001-2005). In both labs he worked on signal transduction pathways involving small Rho-like GTPases and their role in cytoskeletal changes and cell migartion. Subsequently, he worked at the Hubrecht Inst. in the lab of Hans Clevers (2005-2008), working on LKB1-mediated cell polarity in intestinal cells.
