Janke Oosterhaven received her master's degree in Movement Sciences (RUG) in 2001 and she concluded her bachelor studies in Physiotherapy (HU) in 2004. She worked for several years as a physical therapist and started teaching physical therapists at bachelor and master level at the Utrecht University of applied Sciences in 2007 (Psychosomatic Physiotherapy, 2017). She joined the Research group Lifestyle and Health of the Utrecht University of applied Sciences in 2011 and is about to ﬁnish her PHD: a “mixed methods” study on patient dropout in chronic pain management programmes. Her topics of interest are: Chronic pain rehabilitation, Dropout, Health Literacy, Illness Perceptions, Treatment Beliefs and Patient Centred Communication.
