Ing. Erik Puik (born in 1964) was appointed professor in 2006. He graduated from the HTS (Dutch Higher Technical School) in Eindhoven in both mechanical engineering and electrical engineering. He then worked at Océ Technologies as group leader and project manager. There, he led a development team for the development of network functions in copiers, printers and scanners and he also worked on several patents.
Since 2000, he has been project leader for MST / MEMS at TNO Science and Industry. Here he carries out research projects, combining the development and production of micro-systems and precision components.
