Research Priority Area Healthcare and Technology

The research priority area of Care and Technology is interwoven with the research lines of Prevention and Evidence Effective Care through the development and evaluation of eHealth applications for care, and the exploration of opportunities for innovation through the use of new technology. The starting point in this research is that new technology can add value for the patient and that patients are involved in the development and evaluation of applications. Examples of such applications are the development of web-based diagnosis for speech disorders (FAN 2.0), health imaging for people with an acquired brain injury, tablets and games as a therapeutic agent and apps to support communication.
